Cub Scout Pack 720

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Camping in tranquil state parks. Caring for our waters by cleaning Columbia’s local streams. Going to star parties with astronomers. Exploring historic Revolutionary War forts. Learning how the police department trains their K-9 units. Seeing what is around the next bend in the trail. Trying something they likely never would have on their own.

These are some of the experiences our Cub Scouts enjoy, and providing these experiences is the mission of Cub Scout Pack 720. Using fun events that appeal to boys in first through fifth grades, we introduce the scouts to a wide array of activities and encourage them to explore more deeply those that appeal to them. Individual growth and development, an appreciation of the outdoors and the diversity of our society, personal responsibility, and a desire to contribute to the community are some of the things our programs are designed to instill in the scouts. Chartered by the Hickory Ridge Village Association, Pack 720 draws scouts from western Columbia and meets at Harper’s Choice Middle School while our regular base of operations, Swansfield Elementary School, undergoes renovations.
