Carson Reading Room
Help us nurture our readers! Escort students to the Carson Room of 30 minute shifts. Volunteers for Pre-K and Kindergarten can read to visiting students. Volunteers for grades 1 through 5 can help students find the books that spark their interest.

Fitness Friday
Enjoy the outdoors and promote physical activity! Shifts are 30 minutes during recess time. Volunteers are needed to mark laps, give prizes, and cheer or run with the kids. Fitness Friday will be cancelled in the event or indoor recess and is on break from December through February.

Fall Festival
Be a part of one of the PTA’s biggest event of the year! No job is too small when it comes to this community event. Help plan stations/booths, give us new ideas, help with set up and clean up, much more!

Fitnessthon
Our annual fundraiser brings in most of the funds we use to make Swansfield an even better place for our kids. Volunteer opportunities include helping with advertising materials and helping on the day of the fundraiser.

School Dances
Our dances have quickly become the highlight of the school year! It’s so easy to help out at one. Drop off a treat for the snack bar, sign up for a 45 minute shift at the snack bar or help out with quick and easy clean up afterwards!

Did you know that each Box Top turned in earns the PTA 10 cents? This is an easy way to help fun our mission. Help us collect Boxtops and send them in!

Skills/Talents/Interests:
Event planning/coordination: I am interested in being on an event committee.
Photography: I enjoy taking pictures and would love to snap photos during events and activities to be shared on social media and the newsletter.
Parent volunteer at school event: I am available to lend a hand to the teachers and staff for events such as Flu Clinic, Hearing and Vision Clinic, Mobile Science Lab, etc…
Web design and maintenance: I have experience in web design and am willing to take on the weekly maintenance of the PTA’s website.
Working the snack bar: I am willing to work a 30-45 minute shift at the snack bar at an event.
Workshop/Activity instructor: I would like to lead/teach an after school activity or workshop.
Donating baked goods/treats: I am able to provide baked goods or snack to be sold at the snack bar.
Graphic/publication design: I can help design flyers, signs and newsletters.
Leadership positions: I have an interest in holding a position on the executive board or chair a committee.
